Sandra D’Arsie

Founder and Director of Let’s Dance Ltd., teaching young people to dance for the past 19 years. She has been registered and certified by Dance Masters of America for that time and has owned and operated Let’s Dance Ltd. for the past 13 years. Sandra has judged numerous Rhythm and Dance Masters of America competitions and scholarship auditions. She has also organized numerous Dance Masters Pageants and for two years, was Vice President of Dance Masters of America Chapter 43. Her students have a long list of awards and achievements, a few of these are mentioned in the About Us pages. Sandra teaches jazz, stretch and lyrical.
 
Jennifer Guitard

Jenn has been dancing since the age of 4 and has been teaching for the past 9 years. She also has 10 years of competitive experience, as a competitor, in both Canada and the United States. Trained through Canadian Dance Teachers Association, Jenn has completed her jazz and tap exams. She continues to learn by attending numerous dance workshops throughout the year. Jenn teaches jazz and tap.
 
Lori Versteeg

Lori has been teaching ballet and jazz at Let’s Dance for 3 years. She started dancing at the age of 3 and has been a member of Let’s Dance competitive companies for 14 years representing the studio both in Canada and USA. Lori has achieved many overall awards, convention scholarships and national titles. She currently is Miss Dance of Western NY 2004. This past summer she received 3rd runner up Miss Dance 2005 at the National Competition in NYC. Lori has completed all primary and major ballet exams with the Royal Academy of Dancing. During her years of amateur dance she has gained a great deal of experience in teaching and choreography by participating in numerous competitions, workshops and auditions. Lori is currently studying Psychology and Speech Communications of the University of Waterloo. She now looks forward to the beginning of her professional career as a performer, instructor and role model sharing her passion for the art of dance with her students. Lori is currently enrolled in a teacher’s certification program to become an acro teacher.
 
Lynda Wood

Lynda is into her 12th year as ballet teacher with Let’s Dance. She is a fully registered ballet teacher with the Royal Academy of Dancing. Lynda was trained both in England and Canada and has been successfully entering students for R. A. D. ballet examinations and local dance competitions. Lynda teaches ballet.
 
Kim Truman

Kim started taking dance lessons at the age of three, and was trained in Jazz, Tap and Ballet. She was a highly successful competitive dancer for more than 15 years, after which she began to use her experience to teach. Kim has completed her R.A.D. Ballet exams, and has attended numerous dance workshops to expand her skill set. Kim recently had the opportunity to perform in “A Tap Concerto for Two Dancers”, in Vancouver, in which she performed alongside a live orchestra. Tap has always been one of Kim’s favourite dance disciplines, and she is pleased and excited to be able to pass on some of her knowledge to her new students.
 
Sharon Laramie


Sharon Laramie, I.S.T.D. (C.S.B), L.M.C.D.T.A, is a Life Member of the Canadian Dance Teachers Association, a registered member of the Royal Academy of Dancing (London England), and a Licentiate Member of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (Ceccehetti Society Branch) in London England. She is a certified teacher and has taught credited Secondary School Dance Courses in Ballet, Tap & Jazz as well as Summer School for the Performing Arts at Centre in the Square. It is Sharon's philosophy that her students develop a stronger character through self-confidence, awareness of themselves both physically and mentally, a greater sense of responsibility, and a better appreciation and respect for the arts.
 
Karen Prior


Karen has been involved in competition all of her life. She started dancing at the age of 3 and competed until she went to Sheridan College for Musical Theatre. She has been a competitive dance teacher for 17 yrs and judged for numerous companies across North America. Her goal is to create a positive experience for everyone involved. Karen teaches at various dance studios, community centers, elementary and secondary schools. As well as Jazz, Tap and Lyrical she teaches Swing and Liturgical dance within Waterloo region. Karen has won numerous awards for Costuming, Choreography and Performance. Theatre Groups such as The New Hamburg Community Players, K-W Musical Productions and various High Schools have all had Karen’s talent of Choreography shared in their productions. Since Karen is a singer herself, she thoroughly enjoys working on and being a part of Musical Theatre productions.
 
Dawn Milne

Dawn began dancing at the age of six and has received training throughout Canada and the United States. Most notably she had trained at The Royal Winnipeg Ballet and The Kirov Ballet in Washington D.C. Amongst the many prominent trainers that have molded her artist talents are Frank Augustyn, Max Ratevossian , Sergiu Stefanschi, Mary Jago and Alla Sizova. Dawn has studied with such illustrious choreographers as Brian Thomas (choreographer for Michael Jackson’s Tribute) , Mario (choreographer for Shawn Desmond) and Jay Blaze (Blaze Entertainment, Toronto). She is presently using these skills to choreograph as the captain for the University of Waterloo Dance Pak and is recognized for her innovative and original choreography. Performance has always been a passion and throughout her teens Dawn delighted in not only participating in competitions but the opportunity afforded by competition to renew old friendships gained from the experience. She has received many scholarships and awards for her articulate technique and artistic expression.

Facilities

Our 5000 sq. foot facilities include the following amenities:
 

  • 3 large teaching rooms, fully mirrored, with sprung floors and high ceilings.
  • Boys and girls each have their own change room and washrooms.
  • Viewing area for parents, with comfortable chairs to relax in.
  • Kitchen area with fridge, microwave and vending machines.
  • Cafeteria with tables and chairs
  • We have adequate parking close to the front door
  • The business office is on site and staffed.
  • Bulletin board for parents use as well as a “buy and sell” area
